Preparing The Robalo for the 2019 Season
We took the cover off the boat for the first time since Fall of 2018. As happens every year water from rain and melted snow had collected in big puddles on boat cover, and buds from the trees had collected in the puddles. Winter puts a strain on the cover, but it's held up very well over the years.
We also tested the trailer lights. The lights on the right side were OK but the lights on the left side didn't work at all. I decided we needed to replace the incadescent lights with LEDs so off we went to West Marine. This was our first trip to the boat store this year, but it probably won't be our last.
I chose a set because it looked like they had a "universal fit" design where the mounting bolts could be configured to fit the mounting holes on a wide variety of trailers. This turned out to not be a bad assumption. The lights do not fit the trailer and there is no easy way to move the screws
