Birds and squirrels have been sharing the bird feeder all afternoon. The webcam caught this picture of a Cardinal taking it's turn at the trough.
I've received some good suggestions on how to discourage these rodents from raiding the bird feeder. My favorite is a BB to the butt, but I'm going to go with something a little less painful for the squirrel.
Of all the garden pictures I've take over the past 6 years this is my favorite.
As usual the petunias in bob's garden are doing well. Petunias are incredibly easy flowers to grow.
I planted my smallest garden ever in 2018. 6 tomatoe plants and 4 cucumber plants. The garden got off to a rough start and has a long way to go before Autumn.

To deter the squirrels bob slid a PVC tube over the wooden pole that supports bird feeder. So far it seems to be working.
