Melissa - Easter 2014

This year Jen and Joe and Abby were able to join us for the holiday and Jen and Joe announced that they're expecting another baby. The due date is late October. Yay!

We had quite a crowd at mom's this year. There was:

Jeniffer,

Abby,
Daniel,
me.

Ray's long time life partner, Diane, was supposed to attend with her daughter Kristin but her mother mother recently found out she has cancer so it's understandable that Diane chose to spend the day with her mom.

Even with so many people we still had way too much food. I brought 2 hams and a small piece of lamb. Ray brought a bag full of bread, beans, maccaronni and chese, beets, brie, and an onion tart. Mom supplied roast beef, potatoes, vegitables, and Yvette made an ice cream cake. I didn't think of taking a picture of the cake. Doh!

Brother Pat's son Mark and daughter Brenda dropped by with their kids later in the afternoon to join in an Easter Egg Hunt. Brenda seems to be doing well. Unfortunately Mark lost the tip of a finger in a job related accident this year, and his back is hurting him again. The doctor is recommending that he have metal rods inserted in his back to reinforce the screws that were put in a little while ago. He doesn't want to have another back surgury at this time though so I'm not sure what's going to happen with him.

On another sad note Piper, the dog Alex shared with his ex-roommate died early last week. For some reason the ex-roommate waited until Sunday to let Al know.
